Amaravati capital land pooling update

Amaravati, AP, India: The development of the Amaravati capital project has entered another crucial stage, with the state government approving the second round of land pooling. As part of this, the Municipal Administration and Urban Development Department’s Principal Secretary, S. S. Gupta, issued official orders permitting the acquisition of land in seven villages. The CRDA Commissioner, Suresh Kumar, has been instructed to proceed with the required steps.

Land to Be Acquired: 16,666.57 Acres

During this phase, authorities plan to secure 16,666.57 acres across the Amaravati and Tullur mandals. Of this, 16,562.52 acres are patta (private) lands, while 104.01 acres are assigned lands. Once the pooling process is completed, an additional 3,828.30 acres of government land will become available for the project. This will bring the total land bank for the capital construction to 20,494 acres.

  • Amaravati Mandal – 7,465 acres
  • Vaikunthapuram
  • Pedamaddur
  • Ananthavaram (likely intended as “Andrei” in original)
  • Karlapudi
  • Lemalle
  • Tullur Mandal – 9,097 acres
  • Vadlamanu
  • Harishchandrapuram
  • Velagapudi region (likely intended as “Large Limit”)

The government has already finished the first stage of land pooling. Officials believe that the successful completion of this second phase will ensure that the Amaravati capital region has the required land base to move forward with extensive infrastructure development.
