Security Guard Killed During Response to Panic Alarm in Cape Town

A security guard was fatally shot while responding to a panic alarm at a home on Princess Road, Bergvliet, Cape Town, early Friday. The 54-year-old Pro-Sec Technologies employee arrived after the homeowner, alerted by a noise, activated the alarm. A scuffle broke out inside the house, leading to gunfire. The guard was killed, and the suspect fled with the victim's firearm. Police and forensic teams are investigating, and a manhunt is underway.
