Hyderabad, Telangana, India: The preparations for the upcoming panchayat elections in Telangana are now complete, with the election timetable expected to be announced shortly. The reservation process has concluded, and district-level gazettes have been published by the Collectors. The Panchayati Raj Department has received all relevant details, and copies of the gazette specifying reservations have been submitted to the State Election Commission. The elections are anticipated to take place in three phases during December.

Meanwhile, even before the election code was enforced, the government led by Revanth Reddy accelerated initiatives such as the distribution of sarees and provision of interest-free loans. The state has begun distributing sarees to women, and recently, Rs. 304 crore in interest-free loans was allocated to 3,57,098 rural women self-help groups.

The Congress party, which secured victory in the recent Jubilee Hills by-election, is mobilizing its cadre with high spirits to perform strongly in the panchayat elections. The opposition BRS party and the BJP are also strategizing for success in these local polls. A cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is scheduled for Tuesday, where several key decisions related to rural development are expected to be announced.
