The gold mine collapsed, and 20 people died

Venezuela: A collapse occurred in an illegal gold mine in central Venezuela, resulting in the tragic death of 20 individuals. The incident took place on Tuesday in Angostura municipality, specifically in an area known as Bulla Loka, where a mine wall suddenly collapsed. Unfortunately, the death toll is expected to rise.

Governor Angel Marcano of Bolivar State confirmed to the media that, as of now, 20 bodies have been recovered, and several others are reported injured. The rescue efforts are ongoing, and the families of the victims are urging swift action. The injured individuals have appealed to the government to dispatch an aircraft for the retrieval of bodies.

The incident occurred on Tuesday when a wall collapsed in the Bulla Loca mine in Angostura Municipality, reachable by an hour-long boat ride. As of Wednesday, Venezuela's Ministry of Communications and Information stated that officials do not yet have the complete count of those killed, trapped, or injured in the accident.
