Washington, D.C, USA: US Vice President JD Vance has shared a personal update, announcing that he and his wife, Usha Vance, are expecting their fourth child. The announcement was made through social media, with Usha Vance, the Second Lady of the United States, also confirming the news.

According to the couple, the baby boy is expected to arrive by the end of July. JD and Usha Vance were married in 2014 and are already parents to three children — Evan, Vivek, and Mirabel.

JD Vance, born James David Vance on August 2, 1984, in Middletown, Ohio, pursued his higher education at Ohio State University before earning his law degree from Yale Law School. His 2016 autobiography, Hillbilly Elegy, gained nationwide attention and was later adapted into a film by Netflix.

Entering politics in 2022, Vance contested elections as a Republican and was elected as a U.S. Senator from Ohio. Known for his outspoken views and focus on public issues, he rose quickly within the party. On January 20, 2025, he was sworn in as the Vice President of the United States and currently serves alongside President Donald Trump at the White House.

Usha Chilukuri Vance was born and raised in San Diego, California. She holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Yale University and a master’s degree in philosophy from the University of Cambridge. Prior to her current role, she served for several years in the United States Department of Justice.

JD and Usha Vance first met while studying at Yale Law School. Their relationship later culminated in marriage in Kentucky, performed according to Hindu traditions. While JD Vance follows Christianity, Usha Vance practices Hinduism, reflecting the couple’s diverse cultural background.
