Apple Mac Mini Set For Major Redesign
Apple is reportedly planning a major redesign for its Mac mini, set to launch later this year. The new model will be significantly smaller, nearly the size of an Apple TV, and powered by the new M4 chip. This chip, introduced with the latest iPad Pro, is designed for advanced AI features branded as Apple Intelligence.
The updated Mac mini will feature an aluminum casing, be slightly taller than the current model, and include at least three USB Type-C ports, an HDMI port, and a power connector. The M4 chip will also be featured in upcoming updates for the MacBook Pro, iMac, and potentially a new MacBook Air in the spring of next year. Updated Mac Pro and Mac Studio models are expected by mid-2025.
If true, this will be the first time all Mac devices are equipped with chips from the same generation of Apple Silicon. Similar updates are anticipated for the iPhone 16 series, with all models using the new A18 processor.
