Gemini Expands to Hindi

Google's AI model, Gemini, now supports Hindi, with plans for eight more Indian languages soon. The AI Overview feature, previously in Hindi, has also expanded to include Bengali, Telugu, and Marathi.

New Features for Google Maps

Google Maps introduced alerts for fog and flood conditions to enhance real-time navigation for Indian users.

AI in Healthcare

Google is partnering with Indian hospitals to offer free screenings for cancer and tuberculosis over the next decade to improve health outcomes.

UPI Circle on Google Pay

Google Pay now allows users to request payments on behalf of others with UPI Circle. Loan limits have also been raised, enabling applications for Gold loans up to Rs 50 lakh.

Additional Announcements

Merchants can now add WhatsApp contacts to their Google business profiles for easier customer interactions. The new AI Skills House aims to train over 10 million learners in seven Indian languages.

Google also announced a $4 million initiative for education in India and plans to add 186 MW of clean energy to the Indian grid. A Safety Engineering System is set to launch in India by 2025 to enhance cybersecurity.
