Surface Through TENAA Listing Before China Launch

A recent regulatory filing for the Moto X70 Air Pro indicates that the smartphone may not feature the Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 5 processor as previously rumored.

Motorola unveiled the Moto X70 Air in China in October, and the Pro variant is now expected to arrive soon. Ahead of its official announcement, the device has appeared on the TENAA certification database, revealing detailed hardware information. Motorola has already hinted at a sleek profile and a periscope-style camera. The handset is anticipated to launch in China later this month and may also reach global markets, including India, possibly under Motorola Signature branding or as the Motorola Edge 70 Ultra.

Expected Moto X70 Air Pro Specifications

According to the TENAA listing, the Moto X70 Air Pro carrying the model number XT2603-1 is set to feature a 6.78-inch OLED display with 1.5K resolution (1264 x 2780 pixels). The phone is said to be powered by an octa-core processor with a maximum clock speed of 3.8GHz, suggesting the inclusion of a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset from Qualcomm.

This information challenges earlier reports that pointed to the Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 5 for the Pro model. Previous Geekbench data also indicated the presence of an Adreno 829 GPU and Android 16 software out of the box.

In terms of memory and storage, the device is expected to be offered in 8GB, 12GB, and 16GB RAM configurations, along with 256GB, 512GB, and up to 1TB of internal storage. There is no indication of support for expandable storage.

On the imaging front, the Moto X70 Air Pro is likely to include a triple rear camera system, all using 50-megapixel sensors. One of these is expected to be a periscope telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom. For selfies and video calls, a 50-megapixel front camera is anticipated, supported by AI-based photography enhancements teased by Motorola.

The TENAA documentation also lists a 5,100mAh battery capacity. Earlier appearances on the 3C certification site confirmed support for 90W wired fast charging, and wireless charging is also expected. Connectivity options include 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G network support, along with Bluetooth and USB.

For security, the smartphone is tipped to feature an in-display fingerprint reader. Additional sensors such as gravity, proximity, and ambient light sensors are also listed. The phone measures 162.1 x 76.4 x 7.0 mm and weighs approximately 187 grams, highlighting a slim and lightweight build despite the large display.
