Redmi Turbo 5 Series Launch: Xiaomi has officially confirmed the launch of the Redmi Turbo 5 series in China on January 29, following several teaser campaigns that generated strong anticipation among smartphone enthusiasts. The lineup will be headlined by the Redmi Turbo 5 Max, which is positioned as the most premium offering in the series.

The Redmi Turbo 5 Max stands out as the first smartphone to feature the newly introduced MediaTek Dimensity 9500s processor. Manufactured using TSMC’s advanced N3E process, the chipset is paired with the Mali Immortalis-G925 MC12 GPU, enabling high-end gaming performance and seamless multitasking capabilities.

Battery performance is another major highlight of the Redmi Turbo 5 Max. The device packs a massive 9000mAh battery, the largest ever offered by Xiaomi in a smartphone. It supports 100W fast charging with PPS support, along with 27W reverse wired charging, catering to power users and heavy consumers.

In terms of design, the smartphone adopts a premium aesthetic with large rounded corners, ultra-narrow bezels, a CNC metal frame, and a flagship-grade fiberglass rear panel. Additional design elements include a metal racetrack-shaped camera deco and a dual-ring turbine light strip. The device will be available in a new Sea Breeze Blue colour option.

Alongside the smartphones, Xiaomi also introduced the Redmi Buds 8 Pro at the event. The earbuds feature dual 6.7mm piezoelectric ceramic drivers combined with an 11mm titanium-plated dynamic driver. With support for Xiaomi’s MIHC codec, LHDC-V5, and up to 55dB active noise cancellation across a 5kHz bandwidth, the earbuds are aimed at premium audio users.

Additionally, Xiaomi announced the Redmi Pad 2 Pro Harry Potter Edition, designed exclusively for fans of the franchise. This special edition includes a Hogwarts School badge engraving, custom Harry Potter-themed UI elements, and a magic-inspired storage bag, adding a collectible appeal to the tablet lineup.
