A major accident occurred in Uttarakhand’s Rudraprayag district on Thursday when a bus carrying 18 tourists from Badrinath lost control and plunged into the Alaknanda River near Gholtir. One person died, around 10 are missing, and seven have been rescued and hospitalized. Rescue operations are underway, but are being hindered by heavy rains and the swollen river.
