Maharashtra building collapse
A building collapsed in Virar, Palghar district, Maharashtra, early Wednesday, killing 15 people and trapping many under debris. The structure was found to be unauthorized. NDRF teams launched rescue operations using heavy machinery.
Families affected have been relocated to Chandansar Samaj Mandir with food, water, and medical aid provided. The building owner, Nital Gopinath Sane, has been arrested and booked under multiple IPC sections.
