2 soldiers killed as Operation Akhal enters day 9
Two soldiers lost their lives and four others were wounded during an overnight clash in Kulgam, south Kashmir, as Operation Akhal marked its ninth day. Launched on August 1, the operation has killed over five Lashkar-e-Taiba militants, with at least three still hiding in dense forests.
Drones, helicopters, and Para commandos are deployed. The offensive follows the April 22 Pahalgam attack that killed 26 civilians; around 20 top terrorists have been eliminated since.
