Meghalaya Hit by Two Earthquakes in Less Than 24 Hours
An earthquake struck Meghalaya on Thursday at 11:32 am, with tremors felt in the Garo Hills. The earthquake, measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale, had an epicenter 5 km deep. Fortunately, there were no casualties or damage, but the sudden tremors caused panic, prompting people to rush out of their homes and offices. This followed another earthquake that hit the state on Wednesday night, leaving residents shaken by the second tremor in just hours.
