5.0 Magnitude Earthquake Jolts Assam, Triggers Panic
An earthquake struck Assam with a magnitude of 5 on the Richter scale. The National Center for Seismology reported that the tremors were recorded at 2:25 AM in Morigaon district.Frightened residents rushed out of their homes as the tremors were felt in various places, including Guwahati. Officials identified the earthquake's epicenter at a depth of 16 kilometers beneath the ground.Just two days ago, a similar magnitude earthquake occurred in the Bay of Bengal near Kolkata, causing panic. Now, the earthquake in Assam has once again triggered concerns.
