Eight people have been arrested in connection with attacks on a police station and MLA homes in Manipur. One arrest was made for arson on November 16, while seven others were detained for attacking the Kakching police station on November 27. The attacks followed the discovery of six Meitei women and children’s bodies in rivers, allegedly abducted by Kuki militants after a gunfight with security forces. The ongoing ethnic violence between Meiteis and Kuki-Zo groups has claimed over 250 lives and displaced thousands since May.
