AAP Punjab MLA Gurpreet Bassi Gogi tragically passed away from gunshot wounds, with police suggesting an accidental discharge from his licensed pistol. The incident occurred around 11:30 pm at his Ludhiana home, where a bullet struck Gogi's temple. Despite being rushed to Dayanand Medical College, he was declared dead. Police are investigating the matter, with a post-mortem planned.

Gogi, who joined AAP in 2022 after leaving Congress, had recently met with officials on local issues hours before his death. The political community has expressed shock and condolences.
