After 53 years, the annual Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri has resumed with three rounds of service appointments to Chhattisa, a mechanical part of the Shreekshetra.
In 1971,the festival took place on the same day as the anniversary of Purushottam, with its eye festival and a Rath Yatra.
