Annamalai Resigns from BJP, set to Launch New Political Party in Tamil Nadu!

Annamalai Resigns from BJP

Former Tamil Nadu BJP President K. Annamalai has resigned from the Bharatiya Janata Party, marking a significant development in the state's political landscape. BJP National President Nitin Nabin accepted his resignation from the party's primary membership on Friday.

Annamalai is scheduled to address the media later in the day, where he is expected to outline his future political plans. His resignation has fueled widespread speculation about the formation of a new political party in Tamil Nadu.

According to political sources, Annamalai is actively working toward launching a new political organization. The proposed party is likely to be named Tamilaga Makkal Kazhagam or Tamilaga Makkal Katchi. He currently operates a public trust named We Leaders, which is reportedly being expanded into a broader political movement.

A former Indian Police Service officer from the Karnataka cadre, Annamalai resigned from government service in 2019 before entering politics. Inspired by the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he joined the BJP in 2020 and quickly rose through the ranks of the party.

During his tenure with the BJP, Annamalai served as the party's Tamil Nadu Vice President before being appointed State President. He became one of the most prominent political figures in the state and played a key role in strengthening the party's presence in Tamil Nadu.

His next political move is expected to attract significant attention, as supporters and political observers await his official announcement regarding the formation of a new political platform.
