The ruling BJP won the Arunachal Pradesh assembly elections. In the election results released on Sunday, the party won 46 seats out of 60 constituencies. Before polling, BJP candidates won unanimously in 10 seats. After counting, the EC revealed that the Kamalam party won 36 seats out of 50 constituencies where the elections were held. The Congress party is limited to only one seat.
National People's Party (NPP)-5, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP)-3, People's Party of Arunachal (PPA)-2 seats each, independents won three seats.PM Modi reacts to Arunachal assembly election results. He thanked the people of the state for keeping faith in the BJP.On the other hand, Ajit Pawar-led NCP's party leader Praful Patel expressed happiness over the victory in three seats.
