In Uttarakhand's Almora, a bus accident has resulted in at least 20 fatalities, with many feared trapped. The bus fell into a gorge early Monday, and rescue efforts by police and disaster response teams are ongoing.

The incident was reported around 9 am, and some survivors have been hospitalized. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced financial aid for victims’ families and called for a magisterial inquiry. He also emphasized the swift evacuation of the injured, including potential airlifts for those in critical condition.
