At Least 30 Injured In Khandwa During Flame Torch Rally Fire Incident

A flame torch procession in Khandwa, Madhya Pradesh, turned tragic on Thursday night when a fire broke out, injuring 30 people, including women and children. The rally, held annually to commemorate three individuals killed in 2009, was organized by the BJP and ended at Cloud Tower. As participants attempted to extinguish the torches by immersing them in water, a large fire ignited, leading to the injuries.

The injured were rushed to the hospital, with 18 receiving primary treatment and sent home, while 12 remain under care. Fortunately, none of the injuries are life-threatening. Police are investigating the incident.
