A Bengaluru teacher, Sridevi Rudagi (25), was arrested for blackmailing a student's father over an affair they had. Along with two accomplices, Ganesh Kale (38) and Sagar (28), she extorted Rs 4 lakh from the victim and later demanded Rs 15 lakh. The victim, a trader with a family, met Rudagi during his child's school admission in 2023, leading to personal meetings and exchanges. 

After blackmailing him with private photos and videos, the accused demanded Rs 20 lakh, and despite a partial payment of Rs 1.9 lakh, continued to pressure him for more. The accused have been sent to judicial custody for 14 days.
