Bihar Storm Tragedy: Over 50 Dead, Orange Alert Issued

Heavy rain and thunderstorms in Bihar on April 10–11 led to over 50 deaths, including 22 in Nalanda where a tree collapsed on a temple. RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav urged for compensation to victims and affected farmers. The CM’s office confirmed 25 deaths across districts and announced ₹4 lakh ex-gratia per victim. Patna saw water-logging after 42.6 mm of rain. IMD issued an orange alert for several districts, warning of more heavy rain and storms.
