Kejriwal poison in Yamuna claim
AAP leaders, including Arvind Kejriwal and Atishi, accused the BJP-run Haryana government of intentionally contaminating the Yamuna River with industrial waste, which supplies water to Delhi. Kejriwal further claimed the BJP was poisoning the river to harm people.
In response, Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini denied the allegations, warning Kejriwal of a defamation lawsuit unless he apologized for the false statements. BJP leader Vijender Gupta criticized Kejriwal for misleading the public and inciting unrest, also accusing him of distracting attention from the vandalization of Ambedkar’s statue in Punjab.
The Delhi Jal Board (DJB) rejected Kejriwal’s claims, stating they were baseless and misleading, which could cause unnecessary panic among residents and harm relations with Haryana.
