Gujarat Fighter Jet Crash: One Pilot Dead, Another Seriously Injured

A Jaguar fighter jet from the Indian Air Force (IAF) crashed during a training flight in Jamnagar, Gujarat, killing one pilot and seriously injuring another. The crash occurred in Suwarda village, about 12 km from Jamnagar, but fortunately, no residents were harmed. A large fire broke out after the crash, which was quickly controlled by firefighters.

The IAF has ordered a court of inquiry to investigate the cause of the accident. The two-pilot aircraft had identified a technical fault and attempted to eject. The IAF expressed condolences over the pilot's death and assured the family. Jamnagar Collector Ketan Thakkar confirmed the incident and noted that firefighters and police responded swiftly, ensuring no damage to the local area.
