Hemant Soren Set To Take Oath As Jharkhand's Chief Minister Today

Hemant Soren Sworn in as Jharkhand CM for Fourth Term

Hemant Soren will be sworn in as Jharkhand's Chief Minister today after his JMM-led coalition won 56 of the 81 Assembly seats in the recent elections. The ceremony will take place at 4 pm at Ranchi's Morabadi Ground, with Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar administering the oath.

This marks Soren's fourth term as CM and the first time a government has returned to power after completing a full term in Jharkhand. His JMM secured a record 34 seats, with allies Congress, RJD, and CPI(ML) contributing additional seats.

Soren, who retained his Barhait seat with a large margin, emphasized social justice, unity, and democracy in his message. The ceremony will be live-streamed, and schools in Ranchi will remain closed due to expected traffic disruptions.
