Himachal Pradesh Floods
Since June 20, Himachal Pradesh has faced devastating heavy rains, cloudbursts, and flash floods, claiming 257 lives. The districts of Mandi, Kangra, Chamba, and Kullu suffered the most, with 133 deaths due to rain and landslides and 124 from road accidents.
Thousands of houses and crops were damaged, 455 roads blocked, 681 power transformers destroyed, and 182 water schemes affected. Authorities warn of more heavy rains and advise avoiding unnecessary travel.
