On Ambedkar Jayanti, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the upgraded Hisar Airport in Haryana, marking a significant development in the state's aviation sector. He flagged off the first commercial flight from Hisar to Ayodhya and laid the foundation for a new terminal at Maharaja Agrasen Airport.

The terminal, costing over Rs 410 crore, will include a modern passenger terminal, cargo terminal, and an advanced Air Traffic Control (ATC) tower. Regular flights from Hisar to cities like Ayodhya, Jammu, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, and Chandigarh will be introduced under the UDAN scheme, which aims to make air travel affordable and accessible across India.
