An Independent candidate in Rajasthan's Deoli-Uniara Assembly bypoll, Naresh Meena, allegedly slapped Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) Amit Chaudhary on November 13, 2024, during election duty. The incident occurred when SDO Chaudhary visited the village of Samravta, where Meena had supported a boycott of the election due to villagers' demand to be transferred to the nearby Uniara Tehsil. Meena reportedly grabbed the SDO by the collar and slapped him. A video of the altercation has gone viral on social media. The ongoing bypolls in Rajasthan are set to conclude with vote counting on November 23.
