Salim, who had been receiving treatment at Sawai Man Singh Hospital, passed away despite efforts by doctors. Many victims sustained burns covering 50-80% of their bodies. Four people died at the scene, eight died during treatment at SMS Hospital, and one passed away at Jaipuria Hospital. DNA analysis was used to identify some victims, including former IAS officer Karni Singh.

Fifteen people have been discharged, though the long-term impact of their injuries on vital organs remains a concern. In response to the incident, the NHAI regional officer, Dinesh Chaturvedi, was removed and transferred to Delhi, with Abdul Basil appointed as his replacement. Authorities are investigating the cause, with various departments pointing fingers at each other.
