Jaipur, Nagpur, and Goa airports receive bomb threat mail, security tightened

Jaipur, Kanpur and Goa airports received bomb threat emails on Monday and officials tightened security measures and conducted thorough checks.

Police suspect it to be a fake email and efforts are on to identify the person who sent the email, officials said.

Two days after several airports received such mail, it was found to be fake.

Goa's Dabolim airport received an e-mail on its official email, and the police and bomb squad searched after the airport authorities complained.

'Now we are taking more precautions. Airport Director SVT Dhanunjaya Rao said that despite the tight security at the airport, there was no hindrance to the arrival of flights.

Jaipur International Airport in Rajasthan also received this mail this morning and nothing suspicious has been found so far after the search operation, he said.

We are working with our colleagues in various states to identify the accused in this case. The technical cell of the city police is also actively investigating this,' said an official.
