Jharkhand Assembly Elections Kick Off as MS Dhoni Casts His Vote

Voting for Jharkhand's Assembly elections has begun, with over 46% voter turnout recorded by 1 PM. MS Dhoni, the Indian cricket captain, cast his vote, and large numbers of voters turned out at polling booth number 25 in West Singhbhum. The first phase covers 43 constituencies, with voting taking place from 7 AM to 5 PM, though it will end at 4 PM in 950 booths, with those in line allowed to vote. The second phase will be on November 20, and vote counting is set for November 23. Alongside Jharkhand's polls, by-elections are being held in 31 assembly seats across 10 states and Kerala's Wayanad Lok Sabha seat, where Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is contesting after her brother, Rahul Gandhi, vacated the seat.
