CHENNAI: TVK chief Vijay will face another round of questioning by the CBI on the 19th of this month in connection with the Karur incident. Earlier, Vijay had traveled to Delhi for questioning by CBI officials. He was present for the inquiry from Monday morning until evening. According to Vijay’s legal team, the CBI had initially planned to continue the inquiry on Tuesday. However, they requested that the proceedings be postponed until after the Sankranti festival. CBI officials accepted this request, and reports indicate that Vijay has now been directed to appear again on the 19th of this month.

Vijay Aspires to Become Chief Minister

Party members and cinema admirers from the Tenkasi region are preparing to march to Tiruchendur to offer prayers seeking TVK’s victory in the upcoming assembly elections and Vijay’s rise as Chief Minister. Each year during Sankranti, devotees of Lord Muruga from Thoothukudi, Tirunelveli, Tenkasi, and Virudhunagar districts undertake a padayatra to the Senthil Andavar temple in Tiruchendur.

Against this background, TVK Tenkasi Central District Secretary Rajaprakash, along with party workers and supporters, began observing the ritual vow for the padayatra a few days ago. The group is planning to commence the pilgrimage walk to Tiruchendur on Thursday morning.a
