Dubai, UAE: A 27-year-old Indian national from Kerala lost his life after a cylinder explosion at a car showroom in Dubai. Five other people sustained injuries in the incident.

According to reports, a fire broke out inside the showroom premises, prompting employees to evacuate the building. While some individuals attempted to control the flames, a powerful cylinder explosion occurred, resulting in the death of Shijin Pal and injuries to five others.

The Embassy of India in the UAE confirmed that it is in contact with the victim's family and is extending the necessary assistance following the tragic incident.

Shijin Pal hailed from Kollam district in Kerala and had moved to Dubai in November last year. He was employed as a multimedia marketing specialist at the car showroom.

Family members and friends said Shijin had been in a long-term relationship for eight years and was married in 2025. He had planned to bring his wife to Dubai in the near future. His untimely death has left his loved ones devastated.

Authorities are continuing their investigation into the cause of the explosion.
