Kunal Kamra Faces Backlash in Madhya Pradesh Over Controversial
Stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra’s controversy has now spread to Madhya Pradesh. Posters of Kunal Kamra were spotted outside public toilets. Anurag Sonar, the president of Yuva Sena, warned that if Kamra visits Madhya Pradesh, they will smear black paint on his face and parade him through the streets. Shiv Sena’s youth wing activists have put up posters in the city, warning Kunal Kamra.
Shiv Sena youth wing activists accused Kunal Kamra of spreading negativity among the public in the name of comedy. As a mark of protest against his "bad mindset," they placed his picture outside public toilets, said Anurag Sonar. They further warned that if Kamra visits Madhya Pradesh, Shiv Sena activists will smear his face with black paint and parade him through the streets.
Kunal Kamra made controversial remarks against Maharashtra Deputy CM Eknath Shinde, calling him a "traitor" who split Shiv Sena. These remarks sparked outrage, leading Shiv Sena activists to attack the club where Kamra performed, vandalizing furniture and demanding an apology. Complaints were filed at police stations, and cases were registered against both parties. Meanwhile, Mumbai police contacted Kunal Kamra in Tamil Nadu, but he defended his statements, stating he saw no need to apologize unless ordered by the court. He also dismissed allegations that his statements were influenced by external forces.
