Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav paid tribute to Subhas Chandra Bose on his birth anniversary by offering floral tributes at his statue in Bhopal's Subhas Chowk. Accompanied by BJP leaders, CM Yadav highlighted Netaji's devotion to the nation, recalling how he chose patriotism over a career in the Indian Civil Services. He also mentioned Bose's leadership in the Congress and his later formation of the Azad Hind Fauj to fight British rule. In 2021, the Modi government declared January 23 as Parakram Diwas to honor Bose's legacy. Celebrations for Parakram Diwas 2025 are planned at Barabati Fort in Cuttack.
