West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee skipped the 10th NITI Aayog Governing Council meeting, drawing sharp criticism from BJP and Congress. BJP’s Samik Bhattacharya accused her of ignoring Bengal’s issues for “political ego.” Congress leader Adhir Ranjan said she missed a chance to raise key concerns.

TMC defended Banerjee, citing last year’s incident where her mic was muted during the meeting. BJP’s Rakesh Sinha slammed her absence as political posturing.

Other CMs from Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Karnataka, Kerala, and Puducherry also skipped the meeting.
