Petrol and Diesel Prices hiked again across India

New Delhi: Petrol and diesel prices have increased sharply once again across India, adding further pressure on consumers already facing rising living costs. Public sector oil marketing companies announced a fresh hike of Rs 2.84 per litre for petrol and Rs 2.86 per litre for diesel.

The revised fuel prices came into effect from 6:00 AM today. This marks the fourth consecutive increase in fuel rates in recent weeks, triggering concern among commuters, transport operators, and businesses.

Following the latest revision, petrol prices in Delhi have climbed to Rs 102.12 per litre, while diesel is now priced at Rs 95.20 per litre. In Mumbai, petrol prices have crossed Rs 111, reaching Rs 111.21 per litre, with diesel touching Rs 97.83 per litre.

Similarly, Chennai recorded petrol prices at Rs 107.77 per litre and diesel at Rs 99.55 per litre. The repeated hikes are expected to impact transportation costs and could lead to an increase in the prices of essential commodities across the country.
