Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Vizhinjam International Seaport in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, on Friday. Developed at an estimated cost of ₹8,867 crore, the port is India's first transshipment hub. The commissioning of its first phase took place in the presence of Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, Adani Group chairman Gautam Adani, and Thiruvananthapuram MP Shashi Tharoor.
