Rajasthan Gears Up to Become India's Next Business Powerhouse

Rising Rajasthan Summit 2024

Modeled after Modi’s Vibrant Gujarat initiative, the event aims to boost the state’s economy, currently valued at ₹15 lakh crore, with a target of doubling it to ₹30 lakh crore by 2047. The summit emphasizes green energy, including solar and wind power, and features 21 new investment policies, including a textile park and land aggregation. Non-resident Rajasthanis will also have a dedicated day at the event. To facilitate investments, the government has appointed IAS officers for 23 countries and RAS officers across Indian states as business liaisons.

Commerce Minister Col. Rajyavardhan Rathore highlighted the shift from welfare schemes to a focus on ease of doing business, to create jobs and attract investments. Jaipur is ready to host global and domestic investors, and it is hoping for significant MoUs.
