Ranchis Durga Puja Mandap Showcases 21,000 Books

Ranchis Durga Puja Mandap

Ranchi, Jharkhand, India: Devotees are flocking to the Durga Devi Puja Mandap in Ranchi, Jharkhand, where Goddess Durga has been installed amidst an impressive collection of 21,000 books. The mandap is designed to resemble a library, reflecting this year’s theme inspired by the Gurukul tradition.

According to the organisers, they aim to introduce a fresh concept every year. This year’s setup includes carefully selected texts such as religious scriptures, the Ramayana, Mahabharata, Bhagavad Gita, the Constitution, Hindi alphabet books, science and history books, as well as works on the Jharkhand movement. The initiative seeks to educate young visitors about sacred texts and revive the declining habit of reading among the public.
