Plane crashes in Colombia: At least 15 people were killed when a small satanic plane crashed in northeastern Colombia. Officials said the incident took place minutes after taking off from Kukuta for Okanana.

A deadly plane crash has occurred in Northeast Colombia. A Satena Airlines Beechcraft 1900D commercial plane crashed in the province of Norte de Santander on Wednesday, minutes after takeoff.All 15 people on board the plane were killed. The crash took place near the Colombia-Venezuela border, the state-run airline Satena confirmed.

Colombian Chamber of Deputies member Diogenes Quintero and election candidate Carlos Salcedo were killed in the incident, officials said. Quintero has been fighting for war victims in the Catatumbo area for some time.

Officials said the crash occurred after the signals went off within 9 minutes of take-off from Kukuta Airport. The plane caught fire before the rescue team reached the spot. As per preliminary information: Officials believe that the accident was caused by inclement weather or a technical glitch.

Colombian President Gustavo Petro expressed his condolences over the incident. He directed the concerned authorities to conduct a thorough probe into the incident.
