Sridhar Vembu Urges Indians in US to Return, Strengthen India's Growth

Sridhar Vembu urging Indians in US to return to India

New Delhi: Sridhar Vembu, founder of Zoho, has called upon Indians residing in the United States to consider returning to India and contribute to the nation’s development.

In a message shared on X, Vembu reflected on the evolving global landscape of migration and employment. Drawing from his own experience of moving to the US nearly four decades ago with limited resources, he acknowledged the success many Indians have achieved abroad through education and cultural values.

However, he noted a shift in sentiment, highlighting concerns among some Americans who believe that Indian professionals are taking away job opportunities. According to Vembu, Indians abroad are increasingly becoming passive observers in this changing dynamic.

He emphasized that India’s global respect depends on its internal strength and progress. Urging skilled professionals to return, Vembu stated that the country requires their expertise and leadership to guide the next generation, particularly in the technology sector.
