Tamil Nadu CM Vijay Meets Former CM MK Stalin, Triggers Political Debate

CM Vijay Meets Former CM MK Stalin in Chennai

Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India: Vijay has initiated a new political tradition in Tamil Nadu by visiting the residence of former Chief Minister and DMK president M. K. Stalin. The brief meeting between the two leaders has triggered widespread discussion in political circles across the state.

Although details of their conversation were not disclosed, the meeting has gained significant attention due to the current political situation in Tamil Nadu.

Stalin, who served as the Chief Minister for the past five years, was defeated in the recent Assembly elections. In the elections, TVK emerged as the single largest party by winning the highest number of seats. However, the party fell short of the majority needed to independently form the government.

Following the election results, alliance partners of the DMK, including Congress, Left parties, and VCK, reportedly extended their support to TVK, enabling Vijay to take charge as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.

Against this backdrop, Vijay’s visit to Stalin’s residence is being viewed as politically significant. While TVK representatives described the interaction as merely a courtesy meeting, reports suggest that Stalin played an important role in facilitating support from alliance parties during government formation.

The meeting has now become a major talking point in Tamil Nadu politics, with several political observers closely watching the evolving equations between the two leaders.
