Hasanparthi: A 29-year-old youth from Hanamkonda district, who was critically injured in a fire incident in Tampa, Florida, has died while undergoing treatment.

Bharat Chander Reddy, a resident of Ganturpally village in Hasanparthi mandal, sustained severe injuries after a fire broke out in Tampa on May 25. He suffered around 75 per cent burns and had been undergoing treatment at a hospital.

Bharat reportedly fought for his life for around 15 days while receiving treatment. However, he eventually succumbed to his injuries.

Bharat had travelled to the United States in 2023 for higher studies. After completing his education, he was planning to return to his hometown and get married.

His untimely death has left the people of Ganturpally deeply saddened. The family is now seeking arrangements to bring Bharat's mortal remains back to his native village at the earliest.
