Telangana Youth Shot Dead in Philadelphia, USA

A 28-year-old man from Telangana was tragically shot dead while delivering pizzas in North Philadelphia, United States, in a shocking incident that has left his family and community in deep mourning.

The victim, Kuncha Anshul, was the son of Kuncha Srinivas and Neelima from Gundlapochampally in Telangana's Medchal Malkajgiri district. According to family members, Anshul moved to the United States in 2023 and was employed at KWC. He lived in North Philadelphia and worked part-time as a pizza delivery driver on weekends to supplement his income.

The incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday when Anshul was assigned a delivery order for three pizzas to a residence within the Raymond Rosen Homes complex on Edgley Street. He reportedly arrived at the location around 12:30 am and stepped out of his vehicle to complete the delivery.

Moments later, unidentified masked assailants appeared and opened fire. Anshul was struck by multiple gunshots, including wounds to the back of his head, and collapsed at the scene. Witnesses who noticed the incident immediately alerted the police.

Law enforcement officials responded to the scene and recovered three bullet casings. Authorities stated that the motive behind the attack remains unclear and that an investigation is currently underway to identify and apprehend those responsible.

The tragedy has devastated Anshul's family in Telangana. His sister made an emotional appeal to the government and concerned authorities, requesting assistance in expediting the process of bringing his mortal remains back to India.

The incident has raised concerns among members of the Indian community in the United States, who are awaiting further developments in the case as investigators work to uncover the circumstances behind the fatal shooting.
