Jammu Kashmir after Pahalgam attack
The people of Jammu and Kashmir, still reeling from the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, are now grappling with a new security challenge. Terrorists disguised in military uniforms are roaming the region, causing confusion among locals who find it increasingly difficult to distinguish between security forces and militants. This situation has also complicated efforts to identify and neutralize threats to security personnel.
The issue has been escalating since the brutal attack on tourists in Pahalgam on April 22, where eyewitnesses reported that the attackers were dressed in army fatigues. Following this, security forces launched an investigation and discovered that terrorists have continued to adopt this disguise in several encounters across Jammu and Kashmir.

Singh emphasized that Pakistan should, like the United States, hand over terrorists to uphold peace and security.
He criticized Pakistan for fostering terrorism despite India’s efforts to maintain peaceful relations. “If India supplies water to Pakistan, they are still fomenting terrorism against our country,” Singh remarked. Citing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s stance, he reaffirmed that “blood and water cannot flow together,” explaining India’s decision to halt the implementation of the Indus Waters Treaty.
