Thalapathy Vijay’s AI 3D Hologram Campaign Revolutionizes Tamil Nadu Politics

Vijay AI 3D hologram campaign in Tamil Nadu elections

Chennai, Tamil Nadu: Tamil Nadu’s political landscape has witnessed a remarkable technological shift as actor-turned-politician Vijay introduces an innovative campaign strategy for his party, Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK).

With the challenge of addressing voters across all constituencies, the party has deployed AI-powered 3D hologram technology to extend Vijay’s presence statewide. These holographic projections are now drawing significant public attention during campaign events.

‘3D Vijay’ Creates Buzz

The initiative, launched by TVK candidate Vinod Ravi, features a lifelike hologram of Vijay appearing alongside candidates during roadshows. The digital projection not only resembles him visually but also delivers speeches in his voice.

In one such address, the hologram urges voters to exercise their democratic rights and support the party symbol, creating a powerful illusion of Vijay being physically present. The campaign has captivated both supporters and general voters, enhancing engagement at the grassroots level.

Technology Behind the Innovation

The party is contesting all 234 seats in the upcoming elections and aims to spread its message efficiently across the state. The hologram technology was developed by Praveen, a 20-year-old AI and data science student, based on a concept by Vijay Chandran, TVK’s Thanjavur district treasurer.

Within just three days, AI tools were used to convert Vijay’s speech into a 50-second holographic video. The experiment quickly gained traction online and proved effective in on-ground campaigning, prompting plans for expansion across Tamil Nadu.

From Traditional to Tech-Driven Campaigning

Before adopting holograms, TVK candidates experimented with unconventional methods such as wax figures and lookalikes resembling Vijay. Campaigns featuring these methods were seen in constituencies like Thiruverumbur and Kolathur.

However, the shift to AI and hologram-based outreach marks a significant transformation in political campaigning. This evolution highlights how digital technology is redefining voter engagement and setting new benchmarks in election strategies.
