Uttarakhand bus accident
The accident happened Monday morning as the bus, reportedly overloaded, traveled from Garhwal to Kumaon, with several children among the deceased. Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami directed swift relief and rescue operations, including airlifting critical patients.
CM Dhami also suspended ARTO enforcement in the Pauri and Almora areas, providing ₹4 lakh to families of the deceased and ₹1 lakh to those injured. A magisterial inquiry has been ordered.
