Tripura: 215 Tribal Youths Receive Battery-Powered Autorickshaws

Tripura battery-operated autorickshaws distribution

On Wednesday, the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) distributed battery-operated three-wheelers, or E-autos, to 215 beneficiaries at an event in Khumulwng, West Tripura. This initiative aims to empower indigenous tribal youths by providing them with a means to achieve financial independence.

Tipra Motha Party founder Pradyot Kishore Debbarma and Lok Sabha MP Kriti Devi Singh Debbarma flagged off the new vehicles and handed over the keys. The ceremony was attended by Chief Executive Member of TTAADC Purna Chandra Jamatia, various elected representatives, and officials from the TTAADC and Tripura Gramin Bank.

Purna Chandra Jamatia highlighted the TTAADC’s goal to support indigenous youths through financial aid and access to government schemes. Additionally, the TTAADC had previously launched the Tipra-Ham autorickshaw loan scheme to promote entrepreneurship among the tribal community.
